Book Giveaway

Last weeks giveaway on Facebook was a great experience for me, so I have decided to do another book giveaway on the blog this time, to include those of you who do not have Facebook.  Please leave a comment below (you don't have to leave names or details) if you or someone you know could benefit from our story. I will pick a comment tomorrow night and send out the book on Tuesday morning. Thanks again for all the support. Can't wait to see where I get to send to next.

(If you have trouble leaving a comment here, feel free to go to the blogs Facebook page or Instagram at TheMomentsWeStand and leave your message there to be entered in the drawing)

  7. Ashley, I truly admire your strength and faith and have found so much solace in your journey when I am faced with difficulties in my life. I don't know how you do it, but I know that my faith has been strengthened and my eyes opened to a new way of thinking after reading your blog. So much of what you write speaks to my heart and inspires me to do more and be more for my children through Christ who is my rock and my salvation. Thank you for sharing your story. You and your beautiful family are always in my prayers.

  8. The thing that I have loved most about your blog is how in each post you were able to tie everything back to the church, and our dacoits love for us. It gives readers a new "gusto," moving forward with a new determination. Although I have never faced a challenge similar to yours, I have had my share of challenges in life. I have a lot of health issues I deal with. Some days I really struggle with it all. I love reading your blog and realizing that I'm not alone in challenges, but yet, through those challenges how much our savior loves us. In a world full of negativity it is refreshing to have someone post things of such positive thoughts. Thank you!

  11. My other comment didn't save so if you get this twice sorry. I have a facebook friend whose husband was murdered last week at work. He walked in on what they believe to be a robbery, and was shot a few times. He was 39 and had 2 small kids at home and a wife. http://www.vvdailypress.com/article/20140820/NEWS/140829990/12982/NEWS
Our family has been praying for them all week and I have been wanting to email her since to tell her about your blog and book, but didn't know if it is too soon :(

  14. Not to be selfish, but I would love a copy of your book for my own use. I am not on Facebook, but I visit your blog almost daily. I have a lot of "hard" days, hard for me any way, and your story helps remind me how fortunate I am and that I am never alone. Both of which I need to be reminded of. Thank you for being brave enough to share things so tender and heartbreaking with the world. I am sorry your little family has had to suffer so, but I am so grateful for your faith and loving example.

  18. Ashley I love your blog. I am dealing with my husband having a affair on me with my best friend. We are working it out and it is so hard. Some days I think it is impossible and then I read something in your blog that helps me take one day at a time. The day I read your blog about triggers helped me so much. It made so much sense and now it helps me recognize them as triggers. I have never left a comment before but I would love to get ahold of your book. Thank you for all of your words

  28. My mom has had a rough couple of years dealing with two divorces, financial problems, children with addictions, etc. She always stays faithful & tries to keep a happy face, but I know she struggles a lot. I have really, really enjoyed and benefited from reading your blog, and I have felt many times that it would help her to read your story. I've tried to send her the link to your blog a couple of times...but she doesn't get on the computer very much, so she hasn't ever read it. The book would be perfect for her so she could have a hard copy in front of her! ;) I appreciate you sharing your story, and I have learned so much from you. It seems your posts focus on the things I need to hear right at the right time. Thank you for taking the time to share your story & testimony with us all! You are amazing!!

  34. I have been following your blog since you started back in January. Although our stories are different I have still felt a very strong connection to you and your words of wisdom. I am a divorced mother of 3 married to a father of 2 for going on 13 years now. Blending families and differences in parenting have definitly not been easy but it does get easier. However the hardest part for me is that I am LDS and my husband is not. Those 2 different lifestyles in itself are very difficult to mesh together. It has always been important to me to take the kids to church each week as well as fulfill all my callings. My husbands support has gotten stronger through the years but he still questions a lot. Every time I read a new blog post from you I walk away with a stronger testimony of trials, love, endurance, patience, and forgiveness. Each of which I need to be better at. I realize that each is a new day, a new beginning to start over. I have learned alot from you and each time you post a cute picture on instagram it brings a smile to my face seeing how happy you and your family are. My kids are all grown up now and 4 of the 5 are in college and the caboose is in 10th grade. They still have questions about divorce and now that some are at the age that marriage is a possiblity I see fear in their eyes sometimes. The last thing I want for them is to have a fear of the past. You have made me realize that talking things through with each child and not shutting them out can be very benificial. If they have a question I take the time to sit and talk about it with them letting them lead the conversation which leads to them also expressing feelings that I was totally unaware of. Your story has had an impact on my life more than you will ever know. You have strengthened my faith in my husband and my children. You have strengthened my testimonty where I didn't even know I was lacking. You have helped me realize that with the help of my Heavenly Father, I can do hard things.

  38. I grew up with a father who struggled with fidelity and pornography addiction. My mom tried and tried, though they never divorced my dad never changed and to this day more details and repercussions of his bad choices affect us all. I was determined to marry "better" but now at 27 years old and with a beautiful baby girl I have just learned that my husband, who was meant to be eternal, has been lying since day one. Big, bizarre lies about his medical history and supposed degree... Now he is being treated for bipolar disorder and I'm gaffer with the most horrible decision of my life. How can one have a Haiti and healthy marriage based on lies? But how do I walk away from all MRI dreams and belief if eternal families? For both my Mon and myself your words have been a source of comfort and strength in a time that those things are hard to comer by. Your testimony is a reminder when i want to ask "why me, haven't I tried so hard?"... When i felt like I'd been left alone I found your sorry and out has helped me through! Thank you!

  43. My Uncle passed on Aug. 5th from suicide. It was very shocking for many since we never knew or suspected he suffered from depression. My Aunt and cousins are now trying to sort through all the emotions something like this brings. While I know your situation was totally different, I have been in awe as you have shared personal details of your grief and healing. I think your book would help them as they struggle through every emotion and question they are faced. You came to my hometown of Morgan a month ago and that is when I started reading your blog. Sadly I was out of state the night you talked, but my friend told me how wonderful it was and really made her think. I would love to give a copy of your book to my Aunt or cousins. If I don't win I am still going to email them a link to your blog :) . Thanks for being willing to share your story!

She finally divorced him, but it hasn't changed anything, they still act married and he still cheats. She for some reason cannot let him go and I think your book would help her see the light.

  53. I've been following your story from the beginning and have loved and learned so much from each of your posts. My best friend just recently found out her husband has been cheating on her and really doesn't even want to be together with her and she's the one fighting for him when i think it should be the other way around. There are so many things that have happened that that combined with the fact that he doesn't want to change, she could find someone that would make her so happy and treat her wonderful. She has 2 kids and she feels like no one will ever want to date her cause she's "divorced" and has 2 kids. I always send her your blog links and tell her your story to let her know that that is not true! I think her reading your book would help her tremendously:)

  94. I found your blog shortly after you started it and have been hooked every since. My family has experienced the loss of loved ones to unexpected deaths. Each of us has dealt with the loss and grief in our own ways some choosing infidelity, divorce, alcohol and just pure hatefulness. It has literally torn what was left of the family to shreds with just a few of us hanging on to what is left. I find myself going back and reading posts over and over again because they hit so close to home and knowing you found a way for you and your family through the dark times keeps me looking forward to brighter days. You are simply amazing and anyone is blessed to have you in their lives.

My marriage has been very rough at times and we have gone through so many tough things that could've torn us apart and made us both question if it would last. Thankfully we haven't given up on each other! My husband lost his dad suddenly a year ago in January and since then has gone into a deep depression and I've had to take one day at a time cause of how overwhelming it can be. He became in active and I have had to stay strong for the both of us but thanks heavens for the knowledge of the gospel to help us get through, right!? I added you as a friend on Facebook a few months ago and got to talk a little bit with you and got to thank you personally for your faith, hope, and love that has helped me through such a difficult time! My mom went to your fireside that you had in bear lake where I'm from and said you did such an awesome job! I told her about you awhile back and she felt honored that you would go all the way there and sacrafice your time to share your story! Thanks again for everything and I would love a copy of your book:) Sincerely, Lori Baker
