Texted, St George!
Texted, St George! Oh I would love to win!
This is the FIRST time I have EVER posted a comment on a blog. I have been following your story from the beginning and have been very moved by your story and also by your guest posts. I have had many experiences in my life that seem so minor to the ones shared, but the post from yesterday from Abby to the doctor who recommended an abortion hit me HARD! 31 years ago I was pregnant with my first child and had experienced complications and had been going to a doctor that I didn't feel to comfortable with. He conducted a ultrasound and said that there was no baby. I felt that he was wrong, he said to just get a d &c as I had miscarried. He was very insistant and kept saying that I wasn't going to have a baby this time and it would be fun to try again. I still felt strongly about not having the procedure. I went home and received a priesthood blessing from my husband where I was told to wait two weeks. After that time I had a new ultrasound at a different facility and during the ultrasound the technician kept shaking her head and indicating that there wasn't a baby. after a few minutes my husband pointed at the monitor and asked what a small blinking was and the technician was astonished and indicated that there was indeed a baby. This doctor NEVER apologized and was in fact very smug about he is never wrong. I fired that doctor and got a new one. 31 years later, this baby is now a married man and has given me two beautiful granddaughters that I ADORE. I am so blessed that I took a STAND and listened to my instincts and the power of prayer. I am thankful everyday for my son!
